Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a partition inside the Manor Log Cabin?

The Manor Log Cabin includes a partial internal partition to provide additional structural strength and stability across the building’s span. This reinforcement helps minimise movement and improves the long-term durability of larger open-plan cabins.

The partition extends approximately 165mm from each side wall, providing essential support while having very little impact on the usable floor space.

If you have a particular layout or intended use in mind, we may be able to reposition the partition as part of a bespoke order. Please contact our team before placing your order to discuss your requirements.

Does my log cabin require a base?

Yes. All 44mm log cabins must be installed on a solid, level concrete base capable of supporting the full weight of the building.

A properly prepared base is essential to ensure correct assembly, smooth operation of doors and windows, and the long-term performance of your cabin.

How do I place an order?

You can order securely online through our website or contact our sales team directly on 045 831700.

Our team will be happy to answer any questions and help you choose the right cabin for your garden and intended use.

Can I customise the design of my log cabin?

Yes. Many of our log cabins can be customised to suit your requirements.

We can often accommodate alternative door and window layouts, partition changes, and other bespoke modifications. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your project.

How is the log cabin delivered?

Your log cabin is delivered as a packaged kit using a HIAB-equipped delivery vehicle.

The HIAB crane will place the cabin package as close as possible to your installation area, subject to site access. If you have any concerns regarding access, overhead cables, narrow entrances, walls, or other obstacles, please let us know before ordering.

How long does assembly take?

Most customers can assemble a log cabin within one to two days, depending on experience, site conditions, and the number of people involved.

Comprehensive assembly instructions and fixings are supplied with every cabin.

Does a log cabin require maintenance?

Yes. Like all timber buildings, regular maintenance is essential.

The cabin should be treated with a high-quality timber preservative immediately after installation and re-treated periodically in accordance with the treatment manufacturer’s recommendations.

Regular maintenance helps protect the timber from moisture, UV exposure, and general weathering.

Do I need to insulate my log cabin?

The 44mm timber walls provide excellent natural insulation and are suitable for most seasonal uses.

If you plan to use the cabin as a year-round office, gym, hobby room, or guest accommodation, additional insulation within the roof and floor can further improve comfort and energy efficiency.

Can I view a log cabin before ordering?

Yes. Selected log cabins and garden buildings can be viewed at our display site near Naas, Co. Kildare.  Eircode W91R127

Please phone us  a day in advance beforehand on 045 831700 to confirm which models are currently on display and to arrange a viewing appointment.
