Recommended Base Options

To ensure a stable, long-lasting foundation, we recommend one of the following:

1. Raised Concrete Pad

   • Sized exactly to your shed’s footprint (see manual for base size).

   • Slightly elevated to allow rainwater to run off.

   • Position your shed on top and screw-fix it to the pad.

2. Raised Paved Area

   • Use tightly fitted 600×600 mm paving slabs.

   • Place the shed on top and screw-fix the base rail to the slabs.

3. Raised Timber Deck Area or Patio

   • Perfect for easy installation and good drainage.

💡 Always install a Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) under the base to prevent rising damp.

Shed Position & Orientation

• Choose a dry, level surface – avoid grass, soil, loose gravel, or tarmac.

• Position doors away from prevailing south-westerly winds.

• Ensure the base is level for smooth door operation and proper alignment.
