How to maximise the life of your Heater Wick.
Water in your heater fuel is the enemy. Please only used ROLF heater fuel sold in factory sealed containers . Never use fuel taken from station pumps or storage tanks. Always close up the lid and lock away safe your heater fuel. Small amounts of water can contaminate the wick and prevent the fuel from rising evenly in the wick. When this happens you will have a smoky smelly burn effect in your globe. Not what you want!
Additionally never leave your heater outdoors as rain water could contaminate the tank inside the Heater.
Never allow your wick heater run Empty. This will ensure the wick stays moist and does not burn out.
Lastly when using the heater for the first time or a long time since last used. Fill the tank and wait 3 hours to allow the wick to adsorb the fuel.
