Floor Kit 8X8 ECO|TOP Sheds

Description

Optional Metal foundation kit suitable for ECO 8×8 metal sheds

Please note this is an optional metal floor frame for a Duramax metal shed.

First build your steel shed  & then insert the floor frame to the inside of your shed.

You will need to buy locally sheets of 18 mm marine plywood to use as your Floor. The plywood sits on top of the frame.   At the rear of the Instructions booklet of your shed there is a guide showing the exact size of the floor sheeting you will need.

Advantages of using the metal  floor kit.

Because the floor is raised off the ground with airflow underneath  your floor should remain dryer.   Using the floor frame makes for a stronger & dryer shed.

The best types of bases to screw-fix your new shed to.

A raised concrete pad exactly the footprint size of your sheds metal base rail.  See here for exact Pad Base Sizes

A raised paved area.  Ideally using 400×400 sharp  smooth Paving slabs.  These will sit tightly together.  We recommend that you order these for delivery from your local hardware builders providers.

A raised timber deck area.

A raised patio area.

Always install a DPM Sheet   (Damp Proof Membrane) under your base to prevent rising damp.

Choose a dry and level part of your garden or yard.     Avoid installing your shed over soil or grass areas as it is difficult to screw-fix your shed to these types of ground.   It is also very difficult to screw-fix a shed to a Tarmac area.

All shed bases need to be level.  This will make it much easier for you to assemble your shed.
